B.Sc. Biotechnology (Hons) with a focus on Food Processing & Entrepreneurship is a 3-4 year undergraduate program integrating biological sciences with food technology and business management. It equips students with skills in food microbiology, chemistry, processing, safety, and entrepreneurship to develop, innovate, and market food products.

ELIGIBILITY: Plus Two or equivalent examination recognized by this University with other subjects under Part III optional subjects provided they have secured 45% of the aggregate marks.

Job Role
- Food Technologist / Food Scientist: Innovates new food products, improves existing formulas, and enhances shelf life using biotechnological methods.
- Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) Manager: Oversees food safety (HACCP, ISO 22000), monitors production processes, and ensures FSSAI compliance.
- Production Manager / Executive: Oversees daily manufacturing, machinery operation, and efficiency in food plants.
- R&D Executive / Food Product Developer: Creates new products (e.g., functional foods, plant-based proteins) and develops processing techniques.
- Food Safety Officer (FSO): Inspects manufacturing units, restaurants, and import/export cargo for safety compliance.
